If you use it’s weight to lunge forward with a low stance and increased poise, and follow with a crushing strong attack then your enemies are down in one blow. Make sure you use this weapon once in the game.

So the general consensus is you only want to use Drakeblood Greatsword over the Claymore or the Flamberge if you plan on buffing DbGs with Lightning Blade, Darkmoon Blade, or a sorcery buff. As the Claymore and Flamberge are better weapons with non-split damage and the Flamberge is an amazing weapon with Lightning and Crystal infusions. While this is all true, I did find another niche use for the Drakeblood Greatsword. I Lightning infused it and buff it with Lothric War Banner. In order to keep the buff with LWB, it needs to constantly be touching your offhand. So you can only use a greatsword one handed. So that, in my opinion, makes DbGs a better option than using a Lightning infused Flamberge. Since one of the biggest draws of the Flamberge is the glitched WA R2 (it does much more damage than it's supposed to) and you aren't able to use that with the LWB buff. Split damage becomes less of a detriment when the AR is higher. And having even just a little bit of magic damage is nice when you run into Crown of Dusk wearers (with or without the LWB buff). So yeah, just a neat little function I found with the DbGs that I thought I'd share. You can do this with a Crystal infused DbGs, too.
